Once again we have had a fantastic Fair. The weather held, lots of people came and everyone appeared to have a good time.
Of course it wouldn’t have happened at all without all the commitment and effort from the Committee in the months beforehand ,the generosity of many people in making contributions of all kinds and the energy and enthusiasm of those of you who carried out numerous and varied tasks (there are too many to list here) in the lead up and on the day.
It is amazing that so many people contribute to the success of the Fair and whatever role you played thank you very much on behalf of everyone who comes to the Fair and everyone who benefits from it.
It was lovely before the day to hear tales of how people outside Tockenham when hearing that the Fair was coming up said things like “Lovely, Tockenham Fair is part of my Summer” and “I always go to Tockenham Fair”.
Everyone who contributes to the event in whatever way has helped to generate that feeling which adds to the success of the Fair each year.
There will be a meeting in January in the Village Hall to set things in motion for next year. Once the date is set it will be published in magazine later in the year. The Committee is not elected until January, it doesn’t have maximum numbers and is open to anyone who would like to get involved. If that is you please look out for the date of the meeting.
